logo1.jpg (52094 bytes) In very surprising news, WCW has announced that Bret Hart will not be able to compete at WCW Souled Out this Sunday due to a concussion. This is definitely a huge development, and it should be interesting to see who Bret's replacement will be, as WCW has promised to still have Sid compete for the world title at the PPV. My guess for a replacement is definitely an nWo member, unless WCW decides to pull a rather interesting swerve and have the replacement be someone we never expected. Bret suffered the concussion last month at Starrcade and had been troubled by headaches ever since. Here is the official statement from WCW: "World Championship Wrestling regrets to announce that Bret Hart will not be able to compete in the main event at Sunday's Souled Out pay-per-view. He does not have medical clearance to wrestle due to a concussion. WCW apologizes for the inconvenience and wants to assure fans that the quality and integrity of the pay-per-view will not suffer as a result of the card change. Sid Vicious will still participate in the WCW Heavyweight Title match-up, though at this time his opponent is not known."

Wade Keller reports that Jeff Jarrett has also suffered a concussion and is questionable for Souled Out. Oh man, if Jarrett also won't be able to work his three matches with Chris Benoit, it would be a huge blow to Souled Out. As of right now, this is still just a rumor and nothing about Jeff Jarrett is official as of yet. Hopefully, for WCW's sake, Jarrett will be able to work the show, or they at least figure out something good to come out of this whole situation.
