WCW Mayhem Match 1 Chris Benoit VS Jeff Jarrett

The PPV opens up with Benoit vs Jarrett. Toronto is jakked and they are on fire. Match starts off with a drop toe hold by JJ. Benoit with a ddt on JJ from the middle turnbuckle. Benoit with an inverted atomic drop on JJ for a 2 count. Benoit with a superplex on JJ for another 2 count. Outside the ring both men exchange blows. JJ posts Benoit crotch first to the ring post. JJ slams Benoit's face into a chair. JJ drops Benoit over the safety rail. Back in ring JJ hits a powerslam for a 2 count. JJ follows up with a vertical suplex for another 2 count. JJ clotheslines Benoit and gets a 2 count. JJ locks on a sleeper on Benoit. JJ brings Benoit down to the mat. Benoit gets back up but gets knocked back down by a shoulder tackle from JJ. Benoit puts on a sleeper of his own but JJ comes away with a jawbreaker. Benoit with a backbreaker on JJ. JJ gets right back up from the backbreaker. Benoit hits 3 german suplexes on JJ for a 2 count. Creative Control come down to the ring. Benoit lands outside the ring after get hung out on the ropes by JJ. JJ rolls Benoit back in the ring. JJ comes off the top with a crossbody on Benoit for a 2 count. Benoit with a bally to back suplex on JJ. Benoit goes up top and connects with the swan dive headbutt. Creative Control tries to pull Benoit out of the ring. While one of the menbers of Creative Control have the ref distracted the other guy attacks Benoit. JJ hits his finishing move on Benoit. Dustin Rhodes comes down and gets in the action. Benoit ends up hitting JJ with the guitar and gets the win and advances in the tournament. After the match Creative Control and JJ attack Benoit. JJ came out of it with a bloddy forehead.

Next we have a Disco Inferno interview. JJ on his way back to the dressing rooms attacks Disco.

Match 2 Disco Inferno VS Evan Karagias with Madusa
Cruiserweight Title Match
the loser pays $25,000 to the winner

Disco is shown in the back having trouble getting to the ring. Tony Marinara is back there harassing him. Disco finally starts to make his way to the ring and Evan attacks him in the entrance way. Tony Marinara makes his way to the announce table for commentary. In the ring Disco knocks Evan down with a shoulder block. Evan with a snap suplex on Disco followed up by a cross body. Disco kicks down Evan in the corner. Disco with a clothesline on Evan for a 2 count. Disco suplexes Evan and then suplexes him again. Disco tries a powerbomb but Evan counters for a 2 count. Disco with a side russian leg sweep followed up by a slam on Evan. Disco goes to the top and hits an axe handle for a 2 count. Disco throws Evan to the outside. Madusa helps Evan up. Evan dropkicks Disco as he was coming off the ring apron. Back in ring Evan with a powerslam for a 2 count. Disco hits a ddt for a 2 count. Crowd starts to chant boring. Disco goes outside the ring and talks to Madusa. Madusa slaps Disco. Tony Marinara leaves the announce table and starts hitting on Madusa. Evan sees whats going on and a fight breaks out. Disco tries to get involved but hits Marinara with a chair by accident. Back in the ring Evan hits a crossbody on Disco for the win. After the match Evan and Madusa kiss in the ring while Disco carries Marinara to the back.

Winner: Evan Karagias

 Jeff Jarrett is shown in the back talking to the Powers That Be. The Powers That Be tell JJ that he blew it and told him to get out of here. JJ is in hot water with the Powers That Be.

Match 3 Norman Smiley VS Brian Knobs
King Of Hardcore Match. Winner to become the new hardcore champion.

Match starts off with Knobs hitting Smiley with a trash can several times. Norman starts screaming. Knobs pulls Smiley to the middle of the ring and hits him with a broom. Jimmy Hart throws a trash can in the ring for Knobs. Smiley ends up catching it and hits Knobs with it. Smiley starts getting his first offense of the match going. Smiley tries to ride Knobs with the hardcore wiggle but Knobs gives Smiley a back elbow. Knobs starts beating the hell out of Smiley again with the trash can and trash can lid. Smiley rolls outside the ring and Hart jumps on his back. Knobs throws a trash can at Smiley and chases him up the entrance way. Both men find their way in the back and Smiley is on the big offense now with a broom. Knobs sets up a table against the wall and sends Smiley through it head first. Smiley throws Knobs into a wall. Knobs comes back with a broom on Smiley. Knobs and Smiley make their way back to the food storage room. Knobs is throwing Smiley into every cardboard box possible. Knobs and Smiley make their way into the elevator. Hart tries to open the door and when it does open he hits Knobs by accident and Smiley gets the pin. Knobs starts attacking Hart.

Winner and new Hardcore Champion: Norman Smiley

Match 4 Perry Saturn, Dean Malenko, and Aysa VS Eddy Guerrero, Kidman, and Torrie Wilson
6-Competitor Mixed Tag Match

Match starts off with Kidman and Guerrero pancaking Saturn. Saturn does a moonsault to the outside of the ring taking out Malenko and Guerrero who are fighting each other. Aysa clotheslines Kidman. Torrie with a hair takedown on Aysa. Kidman sends Aysa down hard. Malenko rolls up Kidman out of no where and gets the 3 count. Kidman is eliminated. Malenko and Saturn double team Guerrero. Malenko with a tilt a whirl backbreaker on Guerrero followed by a top rope leg drop on Guerreo by Saturn. Aysa with a vertical suplex on Guerrero for a 2 count. Guerrero eliminates Malenko with a huricanrana. Aysa with a side suplex on Guerrero for a 2 count. Saturn hits Aysa by mistake with a standing sidekick. Guerrero eliminates Aysa with the frog splash. Saturn locks a sleeper on Guerrero. Guerrero hits him with a jawbreaker to buy him some time but not enough as Saturn locks it on again. Guerrero hits Saturn with a tornado ddt for a 2 count. Saturn gets the death valley drive on Guerrero but Guerrero kicks out at 2. Douglas complains about a slow count from Robinson. Saturn misses a knee drop from the top. Guerrero with a cross body on Saturn. Saturn rolls through and locks on the rings of saturn eliminating Guerrero. Torrie and Saturn are the only ones left. Torrie damn near got a 3 count on Saturn with a low blow. Saturn comes back with a low blow of his own on Torrie for the 3 count.

Winner: Perry Saturn

Match 5 Buff Bagwell VS Curt Hennig
Hang It Up Match. Must have a winner. Loser is out of work

Before that match started the camera showed Creative Control and Jeff Jarrett beating up Bagwell in the back. When Buff's music hits he never came out. JJ and Creative Control come out and beat Hennig up. Bagwell ends up hitting the ring with a 2x4 clearing the ring. The match officially starts with Hennig having the advantage on Bagwell. Outside the ring Bagwell rams Hennig into the ring apron. Back in ring Bagwell starts to stomp the head of Hennig. Hennig hits Bagwell with a low blow. Hennig locks on a sleeper/rear chinlock on Bagwell. Bagwell goes down to the mat. Bagwell starts to fight back but runs into a knee from Hennig. Hennig locks back on the sleeper. Hennig pulls away from the hold and delivers a chop to Bagwell's chest followed by a scoop slam and a elbow drop for a 2 count. Bagwell slams Hennig then starts to dance. Hennig catches Bagwell in a inside cradle for a 2 count. Hennig runs into a foot from Bagwell. Bagwell then hits Hennig with the blockbuster for the 3 count. After the match Hennig gets a standing ovation.

Winner: Buff Bagwell

Match 6 Bret Hart VS Sting

Match starts off with Sting and Bret locking up. Sting and Bret get into a shoving match then the fight starts. Bret headbutts Sting then throws him outside the ring. Sting stomps on Bret's hands. Bret suplexes Sting for a 2 count. Sting low blows Bret. Sting slams Bret then comes off the rope with an elbow drop for a 2 count. Sting locks on a reverse chinlock. Bret fights back but Sting hits him with a knee in the mid-section. Outside the ring Sting slams Bret into the announce table. Sting tried a stinger splash but Bret moved out of the way and Sting hit the table. Back in ring Bret with a foot to the face on Sting. Bret goes to the top and connects with an axe handle on Sting and the ref. Liz and Luger come down to the ring. Luger hits Sting in the legs with the bat. Bret attacks Luger with the bat and puts the sharpshooter on him. The ref wakes up and calls for the bell. Bret wins by DQ. Bret requests that the match continue because he doesn't want to win like that. And the match continues. Bret hits Sting with a russian leg sweep for a 2 count. Bret with a backbreaker on Sting. Bret goes to the top and catches a foot in the face from Sting. Sting puts the scorpion deathlock on Bret. Bret reverses it and Sting taps out. After the match Sting wants Bret back in the ring. Bret re-enters the ring and a staredown takes place. Sting extends his hand and Bret accepts the handshake.

Winner: Bret Hart

Match 7 Vampiro with Misfits VS Berlyn with The Wall
Chain Match

The chain will be connected to each man's neck. Before the match starts Dr Death Steve Williams and Oklahoma make their way down to the announce table for color commentary. Match starts off with Berlyn attacking the ref. The Wall and Berlyn then start to double team Vampiro beating him with the chain. Vampiro racks The Wall with the chain. After Berlyn is done attacking the Misfits at ringside he re-enters the ring and helps The Wall double team Vampiro. The Wall chokeslams Vampiro. The Wall goes for the pin and Berlyn calls him off. The Wall gets in the face of Berlyn and throws the chain collar at him. Berlyn picks up the chain and starts beating Vampiro with it. The Wall leaves the arena. Vampiro superplexes Berlyn. One of the Misfits come in and help Vampiro double suplex Berlyn. Vampiro hits the nail in coffin on Berlyn then wraps the chain around Berlyn's neck while putting the camel clutch on him. Berlyn gives up. After the match Steve Williams enters the ring and takes out the Misfits and Vampiro.

Winner: Vampiro

Match 8 Meng VS The Total Package

Luger comes to the ring with a cervical neck brace on from the baseball bat shot he took from Bret earlier in the night. Luger had earlier said that he couldn't wrestle but The Powers That Be are making him wrestle anyways.
Match starts off with Meng all over Luger. Luger rakes Meng's eyes and suplexes him. No affect on Meng. Meng kicks Luger out of the ring. Meng chops on Luger outside the ring. Back in ring Luger hits Meng with a running clothesline. Meng gets right back up and tries to apply his death grip but can't do it properly because of Luger's neckbrace. Luger powerslams Meng for a 2 count. Meng headbutts Luger to the mat twice. Liz sprays Luger in the face by accident with mace. Meng takes off Luger's neckbrace. Meng puts his deathgrip on Luger and gets the 3 count.

Winner: Meng

Match 9 Scott Hall VS Booker T
Winner gets both the US and TV title. Ric Steiner was originally scheduled to face Hall but he got hurt and they stripped him of ther TV title and gave it to Hall.

Match starts off with Hall throwing a toothpick in Booker T's face. Both men lock up and Hall hits a few short arm shoulder blocks on Booker T. Booker T hits Hall with a sidekick. Hall with a fallaway slam on Booker T. Hall clotheslines Booker T out of the ring. Hall locks on a sleeper on Booker T. Jeff Jarrett and Creative Control walk out to the ring. Booker T with an axe kick on Hall followed by the harlem sidekick. Creative Control hits the ring and Booker T takes them out. In doing so he leaves himself open for the outsider's edge by Hall for the 3 count. After the match JJ and Creative Control attack Booker T. The lights go out and Midnight hits the ring to make the save for Booker T.

Winner: Scott Hall

Match 10 Kimberly Page VS David Flair

Match starts off with Kimberly kicking David between the legs. David gets his crowbar and hits the ref with it. David goes to hit Kimberly with the crowbar but Kimberly starts to seduce him. Instead she pulls out his protector cup from his pants and hits him in the head with it. Kimberly shoves the cup in David's face then starts choking him. David shoves Kimberly off of him. Chris Kanyon hits the ring and delivers a side russian leg sweep to David. DDP walks out to the ring. DDP puts the diamond cutter on David. Arn Anderson hits the ring and takes the crowbar away from DDP and protects David. DDP and Kimberly leave the ring. David hits Arn with the crowbar and leaves the ring running through the crowd. Medical officials come out to help Arn. Arn is stretchered out of the ring.

Winner by DQ: Kimberly (David hit the ref.)

Match 11 Goldberg VS Sid Vicious
"I Quit" Match

Match starts off with Goldberg clotheslining Sid out of the ring. Outside the ring Goldberg pounds on Sid. Back in ring Sid picks up Goldberg and drives him to the mat. Sid chokes Goldberg on the ropes. Sid rakes Goldberg's eyes. Sid hammers Goldberg down in the corner down to the mat. Sid chokeslams Goldberg. Sid chokeslams Goldberg a second time and then proceeds to choke him. Out of desperation Goldberg locks on a head scissors on Sid. Goldberg short arm clotheslines Sid to the mat three times. Goldberg beats on Sid in the corner. Goldberg puts on a submission choke hold and Sid passes out. The ref has no choice but to give the match to Goldberg. Sid never said I quit.

Winner: Bill Goldberg

Match 12 Chris Benoit VS Bret Hart
The winner of this match will become the new WCW World Heavyweight Champion. Both men made it to the finals in this 32 man tournament.

Match starts off with Bret backing Benoit into the corner. Benoit locks on a armbar on Bret. Bret with a armbar of his own on Benoit. Benoit catches Bret in the midsection twice with his knees. Benoit puts the crippler crossface on Bret but Bret makes it to the ropes very quickly. Bret with several uppercuts on Benoit in the corner. A canadian fan in facepaint jumps the safety rail and attacks Benoit with the canadian flag. It turns out to be Dean Malenko and security escorts Malenko to the back. Bret with a piledriver on Benoit for a 2 count. Bret headbutts Benoit in the back. Benoit comes back with chops to Bret's chest. Benoit with a suplex on Bret for a 2 count. Brett with a ddt on Benoit for a 2 count. Benoit tombstone piledrives Bret. Benoit goes up to the top and hits the swan dive headbutt. Hall and Nash come to the ring and pull out the ref. Hall does a fall away slam on Benoit. Goldberg comes out and spears Nash before he can hit Bret with a chair. Bret sends Hall out of the ring. Bret beating on Hall on the outside. Hall and Nash leave. Goldberg follows and attacks them. Back to the ring Benoit hits a dragon screw leg whip on Bret. Benoit starts to attack Bret's injured leg. In the back Hall and Nash beat on Goldberg. Benoit continues to work on Bret's leg. Benoit puts on the figure four on Bret. Bret gets to the ropes. Benoit goes back to work on Bret's leg. Bret comes back with a backbreaker on Benoit for a 2 count. Bret superplexes Benoit. Bret makes a cover but both men are in the ropes. Bret with a side russian leg sweep on Benoit for a 2 count. Bret with headbutts to Benoit's back. Bret picks up Benoit and Benoit falls on top of him for a 2 count. Benoit falls outside the ring. Benoit with 2 german suplexes on Bret. Benoit puts the crippler crossface on Bret. Bret gets out. Bret puts the sharpshooter on Benoit. Benoit taps out and Bret gets the win. After the match Bret's wife and all his kids come into the ring to celebrate. Benoit and Bret hug. Bret waves the Canadian flag high and proud to everyone in the arena.
