December 13, 1999
Hosted by Tony Schiavone and Bobby Heenan
Live from New Orleans, Louisiana

Show opens in the backstage area of the arena with Jeff Jarrett attacking Chris Benoit, tossing him into a steel door several times before the Crippler plants JJ into a pile of boxes.

Match 1: TAFKA Prince Iaukea vs. The Maestro w/Symphony
The New Orleans crowd is none too thrilled with the Maestro, and I'm hoping this match just has something to do with David Flair jacking Symphony again. Both men end up on the outside at one point early, but each man's valet prevents the other from interfering. Following a head butt to the Maestro's jewels, the Artist gets hoe-slapped by Symphony, and when the Maestro laughs about it, he gets a similar fate from Artist's girl. Artist makes the cover and gets the win.
Winner: TAFKA Prince Iaukea

After the match, Jarrett runs into the ring, lays out both men with guitar shots, then calls out Chris Benoit for a Bunkhouse match tonight. Tony and Bobby go over the matches for tonight, including the return of Tank Abbott, and the tag title match. Backstage, Hart is shown parading around backstage with his hardware, and elsewhere, Nash is calling for Chico, and looking a little annoyed.

After commercial, Evan is caught on camera hitting on the lovely and luscious Spice, when the two are caught by Madusa, proudly wearing the Buccaneer jersey belonging to her husband...Madusa starts a little brawl, only to be broken up by WCW security.

Back in the ring, the music hits and out comes the world champ and half of the tag champs, Bret Hart. Bret talks about being the best, and how he knew coming to WCW would mean getting in the ring with Goldberg, prompting a big Goldberg chant. Hart talks about the upcoming title match, and that he's looking forward to it since he has something to prove. Hart says Goldberg is a great wrestler, but that he won't win the title at Starrcade. He guarantees that he will be holding his arm up in the air after the match is over at Starrcade. This prompts the Golden Boy to make his way to the ring. Bill gets the stick and tells Bret that matches aren't won based on confidence, but on beating your opponent, and Bill says that not only will Hart never beat him, but that he, in fact, is next. This prompts the Outsiders to hit the arena, starting off with a Hey, Yo, and that everyone might want to watch Hart and Goldberg go at it on Sunday, but that tonight, they both have something the Outsiders want, because everyone knows that the Outsiders are "it" and that when you mess with the Outsiders, you're messing with the shhhhhhh...bomb. Nash says that the belts belong to the Outsiders, and he wants them to put the belts on the line, so that the Outsiders, the "greatest tag team in wrestling history" can walk out the champs. Hart and Goldberg agree to it, and we're set up for tonight.

Backstage, Madusa is with Mean Gene, and she says that Evan is her man, and that she's going to wrestle Spice tonight. Good thinking Madusa, I'd love to wrestle Spice tonight, as would many people out there...but since most of us will never have that chance, we'll have to settle for visiting the official homepage of the HOTTEST Nitro Girl, at http://www.prowrestle.com/spice

Outside the arena, Piper is shown arriving for his third week on the job as a ref, and they've finally gotten him a nice striped shirt to signify his new position...

Luger is shown arriving at the arena, where Terry Taylor informs him that he's tagging with David Flair against DDP and Sting. Speaking of David Flair, a deliveryman is shown taking a package to his dressing room before being chased off by Flair with his favorite tag partner, the crowbar.

Match 2: Madusa vs. Spice
The evil monster Madusa jumps Spice from the opening bell and generates a massive amount of boos from the crowd. Evan Karagias gets in the ring, and Madusa gets into an argument with him, allowing Spice to hit a Spice Splash from behind and get the pin. Postmatch, Madusa seduces Evan into confusion, hits a german suplex on him, and drops in a few kicks.
Winner: Spice

In the office, PTB is discussing the remote control setup and security arrangements with Hennig and "Shane" when Rhonda Sing shows up and asks what her next assignment is, and PTB tells her that he doesn't talk to anyone who doesn't have an agent, so she needs to find one and then come back and talk.

A recap is shown of Hacksaw Jim Duggan and his recent clashes with the Revolution. Mean Gene brings out the hardcore American and talks about the match and the stipulations at Starrcade. Duggan cuts a pretty good promo about standing up for America and says that if he has to get off his deathbed, which is pretty much what he did, to defend the flag, that's what he'll do. Gets a good reaction from the crowd for his whole speech. The lights cut out, strobes hit the ring, and when the lights come back on, Duggan is out cold in the ring, and Mean Gene is outside. Back in the office, PTB and crew are laughing about the power of remote control. Piper walks in and is told he is refereeing the match between Curt Hennig and Buff Bagwell, and that he has the final say, and he should consider this a test to see if he can do "the right thing." Buff is shown elsewhere, rhymin' and stealin', and looking for his hat and his shades.

Luger is backstage looking for David Flair, with no luck so far...

Match 3: Buff Bagwell vs. Curt Hennig w/Roddy Piper as special ref
Piper says there will be no disqualification. Buff has control early, and later on we see Buzzkill roaming through the crowd with a sign saying "Save the baby seals" and gets a good pop from the crowd. Hennig swings the momentum with some knife edge chops. Piper is amazingly inconsistent, counting fast when Hennig is covered, and counting slow when Buff is covered. Buff gets a rally going, but is derailed when Hennig pulls his knees up, nailing Buff in the stomach. Piper forces Curt to le go of a chokehold on Buff on the ropes, and when Hennig argues with Piper, Piper lays him out and Bagwell pins and wins with the aid of a fast count.
Winner: Buff Bagwell

Backstage, Luger listens in on some of the loony ravings of D Flair through his door, and Benoit and Jarrett are shown preparing for the bunkhouse brawl match

Match 4: Jeff Jarrett vs. Chris Benoit
Bunkhouse Brawl
JJ comes out with a guitar, cowbell on a rope, and a barstool, and the Crippler makes his way out with a ladder. Jarrett jumps Benoit on the entryway with the barstool, then gets the cowbell, swings, misses, and gets chopped by Benoit. Benoit loops the rope around JJ's neck, and nails him with JJ's stool. Benoit brings JJ and the ladder to the ring area, and starts working him inside the ring. Benoit hits a backbreaker and covers for a 2 count. Benoit levels JJ with a clothesline, then goes outside to get his ladder, but gets nailed with it when JJ hits a baseball slide. JJ props the ladder up in a corner, and whips Benoit into it. JJ tries it again, but Benoit reverses and sends JJ into it high up. Benoit starts to whale on JJ with the rope some more, then sets the ladder up, only to get tripped up by JJ and the cowbell. JJ opens the ladder up fully and tries a double axehandle but it's reversed into a shot to the package. Benoit climbs the ladder, but JJ follows him up and throws him off the ladder. Dustin Rhodes hits the ring, nails JJ and sets him up for the shattered dreams, but referee Robinson jumps in between. Rhodes sets up Robinson for the move, but gets caught by a guitar by Jarrett, but both men go down. Benoit climbs the ladder again, but Rhodes grabs it and shoves it, forcing Benoit to fall from the top rung to the mat. JJ rams Rhodes's head into the ladder and then covers Benoit for the pin.
Winner: Jeff Jarrett

In the dressing room, Luger is trying to talk to David Flair about having a professional match, but Flair is too enthralled by the headless stuffed teddy bear that was delivered to him. Outside, a white porsche pulls up, but the driver has really dark tint, and we are forced to wonder who it is...

In the office, Piper and PTB profess their mutual hate, Piper starts swinging a baseball bat til Hennig lays him out with a chair.

Match 5: Tank Abbott vs. Meng
Tank makes his way down in shorts and boots...someone give that guy a Tank top, please! Fitting their two styles, this is a no holds barred match. The bell rings and a slugfest breaks out. Abbott picks Meng up bearhug style and slams him on his back. Meng goes outside and Tank follows, the two battle on the walkway. Ref calls for a countout, but both men keep at it outside, taking it to the back
Winner: Double Countout

Outside, the porsche opens up and out steps Pimpin' Chris Kanyon, with a cane, shades, hat, and soon has two hookers...err, self-employed models, draped on each arm

Piper is backstage trying to break into the PTB office, when he is hauled off by several security officers...elsewhere, Tank and Meng are still fighting...

The Revolution make their way to the ring, and Shane Douglas gets the mic and cracks on Duggan, and guarantees that they will win at Starrcade. This militia gimmick thing is actually pretty good. Dean Malenko gets the mic and says that America sucks. Saturn grabs the mic, but Dean tells him to stop, that they have heat. Saturn says he knows, but...Dean says, no, we've got heat tonight. Saturn says I heard you, but...Dean says no...we've got Harlem Heat tonight. Music hits, and here they come...

Match 6: Harlem Heat vs. Revolution (Saturn & Malenko)
Before the match starts, the lights go out and Midnight gets in and hits a big leg drop on Malenko. Momentum goes back and forth a little, but the Revolution takes the momentum until Booker nails the rock bottom on Malenko. Malenko recovers, drops Booker on the top rope, and Asya holds him while Saturn tries to hit a cross body but Booker ducks and Saturn takes out Asya. Shane hits the ring but gets dropped. Midnight comes in, nails Malenko, and whips him into Stevie Ray, knocking him down, allowing the pin.
Winner: Revolution

Backstage, Tenay is with Luger and Flair. Tenay tries to ask Flair a question, but Flair yells at Tenay to not touch his teddy bear and runs off. Luger says that he has filed an injunction, and that Liz can only work for him, not Sting. Piper shows up flailing around with a chair, and tells Hennig to get a chair and come to the ring and they can knock each other silly. Rhonda is looking for an agent and gets rebuffed by a man who says he only represents the best. Rhonda says she can sing and dance, and the guy laughs and walks off. Chavo steps in and says he has some dancing clothes for her...and, oh yeah, Tank and Meng? Still fighting.

Mr. Wonderful is backstage, and says that he was sent for by the powers that be. Wow...Paul Orndorff,, long time no see!

In the ring, Fyre, Skye, and Storm are doing the first Nitro Girl routine in a while when a sparkly Rhonda crashes the party and starts showing her stuff. In the woods somewhere, Fit Finlay is continuing his hardcore DI gimmick with Knobs. Norman Smiley, dressed as Ricky Williams, stumbles into the block where he gets jumped by Jerry Flynn, until Meng and Tank wander in. Norman runs off, and Tank and Jerry go at it. Orndorff is in the office with PTB, who says that since he did such a good job training Midnight, he's fired, since she's been beating up Creative Control. Paul objects saying he's been in the business for 20 years, that he played football for the Saints, that he's sold out more buildings then all the men in the room combined, and that PTB can kiss his [bleeped out] ( I could read his lips, and he was not praying) PTB says that since he wants to be a tough guy, tonight, Creative Control will take out their frustration at being whupped by Midnight out on him in the ring.

Backstage, Sid is being interviewed by Tenay about his match with Steve Williams. Sid has a young man with him, and says that he's his coach, since Williams has Oklahoma. Seth says that Sid is his favorite wrestler. Oklahoma comes out with Williams and says that the PTB have declared that this will be a Suplex vs. Powerbomb match

Match 7: Steve Williams w/Oklahoma vs. Sid Vicious w/Seth
Suplex vs. Powerbomb match
Quick match...the ref is distracted, when Williams hits Sid with a cowboy boot from Oklahoma. Vampiro comes to ringside and chases Oklahoma into the ring, where Williams nails Vamp with a clothesline. Sid recovers and after two tries, nails the powerbomb on Williams. Oklahoma gets hit with a chokeslam, but the Outsiders come to the ring and doubleteam Sid until Nash hits the Jack Knife on Vicious.
Winner: Sid Vicious

Backstage, Sid is being checked out by the medical staff, and Tenay catches up with the Outsiders, where Nash says it's a preview of Starrcade, and then they tell Hart and Goldberg that they are next...

Match 8: Sting & DDP vs. Lex Luger & David Flair
While Luger is doing his posedown, Flair walks around him in circles with his teddy bear and crowbar. Sting gets a huge pop from the fans, and works them a little with some whoo's and high fives. Sting and DDP have some words, while Luger has to persuade Flair to leave the teddy bear out of the ring. Sting kills Flair with some splashes. DDP begs to be tagged in, and Sting tags him alright, right to the floor. Sting and DDP start fighting, while Luger gets Flair to his corner with the stuffed animal, they tag, and Luger runs in and lays Sting out with the crowbar, and before Luger can get one last lick in on Sting, Liz runs in and takes the crowbar, then covers Sting so Luger can't chair shot him. Flair runs back in and clocks Luger with the crowbar, and Liz pulls Sting on top of Luger.
Winners: Sting & DDP

Backstage, Meng is looking for Norman Smiley..Mean Gene is with Chris "Champagne" Kanyon, who tells him that if he wants to interview him, set up a time with his agent, who is the same guy that turned Rhonda down earlier. Rhonda shows up and asks how he liked her dancing, but she's shooed off. Bam Bam shows up and starts talking to Kanyon about his new image, when the agent grabs Bam Bam, only to have Bam Bam jumped from behind by Kanyon...guess that makes the triad officially dead...

After commercial, Bam Bam comes down to the ring, gets the stick, and cracks on Kanyon, saying he doesn't know what happened to him in Hollywood, but that he's from Jersey, and he doesn't sell out, and calls out Kanyon for a beatdown.

Match 9: Bam Bam Bigelow vs. Chris "Champagne" Kanyon
Next to no offense by Kanyon until Bam Bam gets distracted by Kanyon's agent, which allows Kanyon to hit the Flatliner, which Tony tells us that the move has been renamed "That's a wrap."
Winner: Kanyon

Backstage, Meng is still hunting Smiley, who has thrown him off the track by leaving a trail of his gear, but hiding behind some pillars. Elsewhere, Vito and Johnny are shown plotting about taking Lash down tonight, putting him in a bodybag, and throwing him in the river...I was wondering when Lash would get involved in his hometown Nitro...

Piper's in his dressing room ranting, raving, and practicing for his chair match..

Match 10: Lash LeRoux vs. Vito
Body Bag Match
The Cajun Sensation gets the mic and runs on about what he's going to do to Vito. Vito dominates early against the local boy done good, but Lash rallies after a missed frogsplash, eventually hitting the Bourbon Street Blues, followed by a back body drop. Outside the ring, Disco takes out Johnny the Bull, allowing Lash to hit the Whiplash. Lash gets the body bag and is close to wrapping this match up, no pun intended, when Johnny lays out Disco with a steel chain, and gets in the ring. Lash gets the bag shut, but Johnny takes out Lash. Both men doubleteam Lash, and after a DDT, they close Lash in the body bag, then make off backstage with the ragin' cajun.
Winner: Lash LeRoux

After commercial, the hitmen take Lash outside and kick the bag a little bit, then leave him on the ground while they look for the car, allowing Lash to escape...

Match 11: Paul Orndorff vs. Creative Control
Handicap Match
After an early disadvantage, Orndorff lays out both members of Creative Control, but just briefly. Orndorff gets the advantage again, and while the ref is restraining one man, Paul chokes the other out with a rope. CC gets the rope and chokes Orndorff, until Larry Zybysko and Arn Anderson come out, make the save, and allow Orndorff to hit a piledriver and get the pin. After the match, the decision is reversed due to interference, and Mr. Wonderful is DQ'd
Winner: Creative Control by disqualification

Backstage, Piper is making his way out for the chair match, and the Outsiders are getting ready for the tag title matchup.

Outside, Johnny and Vito find the body bag and start kicking it some more, then open it up to reveal Norman Smiley hiding out...

Match 12: Curt Hennig vs. Roddy Piper
Steel Chair Match
Yet another short match...Hennig dominates early one, but Piper snaps and beats the crap out of Hennig, eventually knocking him out of the ring with a shot to the head. Hennig fails to return to the ring in the allotted time, and is declared the loser...
Winner: Roddy Piper by countout

Backstage, Tenay calls for medical help, saying Bret Hart has been attacked. Goldberg runs in and checks on the condition of his tag mate/PPV target.

Match 13: The Outsiders vs. Bret Hart & Goldberg
WCW Tag Team Title Match
Nash gets the mic and demands that since they've done Goldberg such a favor by softening Hart up for Starrcade, he should come right down and hand them the tag belts, it's the least they can do. In the back, Goldberg grabs both straps and makes his way to the ring. Goldberg drops both belts on the mat, and when the Outsiders go to pick them up, he lays them out with a double clothesline. Within seconds, Goldberg clears the ring of both men. After taking down Hall, he tags in Nash, who quickly eats a flying shoulder tackle, followed by a scoop slam. Hall tries to interfere from outside but gets laid out by Bill, then Goldberg eats the bottom of Nash's boot. Hall and Nash are dominating Goldberg, Hall hits a chokeslam, when out comes Bret Hart, who evens things up and singlehandedly takes the Outsiders out. Hart locks the sharpshooter on Nash, but Hall breaks it up. Goldberg hits two big kicks on Hall, a heel kick and a side kick. Hall gets up and gets speared by Goldberg. Hart is down after a shot to the knee from Nash, and Nash covers. Robinson is confused, and counts the three while Goldberg Jackhammers and pins Hall, amounting to nothing.
