RAW IS WAR
March 6, 2000
Commentators: Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross
WWF Title followed by a video package entitle "Bro vs. Sis" After that, RAW
title and the pyro display. We are live in Springfield, MA
To open the show, Shane comes out and talks about the "incident" last
Thursday. Shane rolls the footage and tries to explain whether or not it
was intentional (I'm talking about Big Show hitting HHH with a chair). A
BIG Rocky chant starts up during all this. Shane then said he walked over
to see if HHH was OK, and HHH shoved him. Again, Shane rolls the footage.
Shane said he squashed the Rock and that was business, but HHH is more than
business, it's personal. HHH is family now. HHH brainwashed Stephanie into
looking and acting like a cheap slut. Shane makes a non-title match tonight
between HHH and Rikishi Phatu.
About that time, HHH's music hits and HHH and Steph come to the ring. HHH
says it hurts him to know how Shane feels about him. A SLUT chant starts in
the crowd. HHH says it will be a long humiliating night for the Big Show at
the WWF's most prestigous event, Wrestlemania. HHH says Big Show isn't even
in his league. Steph takes the mic and makes a match too. She puts the Big
Show in the curtain jerker against Kane. She then slaps Shane for calling
her a cheap slut. Only a 10 minute opening interview. I didn't even finish
my popcorn yet.
Earlier today...The Posse is shown dragging Tim White down the hall in a
hotel early in the morning. They come to Crash Holly's door and pretend to
be room service. Once they get inside, they attack Crash, but they end up
fighting each other over who is going to be hardcore champion and Crash
sneaks out.

Kane w/Paul Bearer vs. Big Show w/Shane McMahon
Kane hits an enziguri to get control, but gets low bridged by Shane. The
two big men brawl outside the ring. They get back in the ring and trade
punches. Big Show hits a sidewalk slam on Kane and then went for a big
elbow and missed. Kane hit a DDTand then a top rope clothesline. Big Show
hit (if you can call it that) a terrible spinebuster. Big Show goes for the
chokeslam, but Kane grabs Big Show's neck too. Rock comes down and Rock
Bottoms the Show. Big Show gets up, but then gets chokeslammed by Kane.
These two work horribly together. I hope I don't have to sit through many
more of these. They just dont' compliment each other very well.
Winner: Big Show by DQ
Mark Henry and Mae Young are shown arguing backstage about whether or not
Mae will be ringside for Mark's match. Mark tries to say she just had a
baby, but she didn't, so Mae wins. Who wears the pants in this
relationship.
Commercial
A hilarious commercial is shown for the Acolyte Protection Agency
Mark Henry w/Mae Young vs. D-Von Dudley w/ Buh-Buh Ray
D-Von connects with a flying elbow followed by rights in the corner. Mae is
up on the apron now. Buh-Buh in the ring, but misses a cheap shot. He's
now sitting in the corner. Mae in the ring and hits the bronco buster on
Buh-Buh. While this is happening, Mark Henry hits a powerslam on D-Von for
the victory.
Winner: Mark Henry via Powerslam
Post-match (what we paid to see). Buh-Buh shoves Mae down. Mark gets up
and gets a 3-D to knock him out. Buh-Buh grabs Mae and D-Von gets the
table. The table is set up in the ring and D-Von hands Mae to Buh-Buh.
Buh-Buh hits a sick powerbomb putting Mae through the table. Unlike Terri,
Mae took the full force of this powerbomb.

Road Dogg/X-Pac w/Tori vs. Too Cool
Scotty and X-Pac start. A loud X-Pac sucks chant starts. Also, I saw a
TITO IS GOOD sign in the crowd. **sigh** What it must feel like to see your
name at a WWF event. :-) X-Pac gets beat down pretty bad. This must be a
lucha rules match becaue Road Dogg came in without a tag. X-Pac and Scotty
outside. A double facebuster on DX once it goes back inside. Sexay dances.
Scotty hits a bulldog and sets up for the worm. X-Pac tried a spinning
heel kick on Scotty but missed. Sexay hits a reverse side russian leg sweep
on Road Dogg. Scotty hits his worm. Sexay up to the top, but Tori knocks
him off. X-Pac is setting up for the Bronco Buster, but Kane's pyros
explode. Road Dogg gets chokeslammed and X-Pac and Tori run away. Too Cool
gets rid of Road Dogg after the match. Good showing by Too Cool. Huge pop
and DX actually worked as heels for once.
NO CONTEST DUE TO KANE

Snickers Slam of the Week...Slaughter vs. Angle last week on Smackdown
(hey, Slaughter didn't look too bad, huh?)
IC TITLE MATCH
Kurt Angle vs. Chris Jericho
Angle says at how anytime he could become a nobody like all the people here
in Springfield. It's true. It's true. He could become a long haired,
sideburned, potty mouth too. Jericho's music hits. Jericho says he'd
rather be all that than a bad breath, major BO, 30 year old never been
kissed by a woman, Olympic sissie. Jericho tells Mrs. Angle to turn off her
set because Kurt is about to get the beating of his life. There was a huge
missed spot followed by a couple chops while they regrouped. Jericho hits a
backbreaker then some slaps in the corner. Angle hits what I believe was
supposed to be a Northern Lights suplex. Angle then puts his boot in
Jericho's throat. Jericho hits a spinning heel kick and a bulldog.
Jericho goes for a flying elbow, but hits the ref. Jericho hits the
lionsault but there's no ref to count. Angle tries to use the belt, but
misses. Jericho slaps on the Walls of Jericho. After a few minutes of
Angle fighting the submission, BOB BACKLUND comes out to Angle's aide.
Backlund slaps on a crossface chicken wing. Angle and Backlund celebrate in
the ring together. That was a shocker!
Winner: Chris Jericho via DQ (still haven't had a clean match).
Commercial
HHH w/Steph vs. Rikishi Phatu
HHH pounds Rikishi to start the match. He goes for the Pedigree, but gets
back body dropped. Rikishi slaps his ass like he's going to sit down, but
HHH moves. HHH is down in the corner. Rikishi wipes his ass with HHH's
face (why do these guys like Rikishi do that?) Steph is up on the apron and
HHH gets a low blow. Rikishi goes outside. HHH backs Rikishi into the
corner. HHH with his knee facebuster. HHH goes after Rikishi's bad leg.
Rikishi hits a samoan drop and a superkick. Rikishi sets up for the bonzai
drop. Steph throws a chair in the ring then distracts the ref. HHH uses
the chair and gets DQ'd. Rock down and Rock Bottoms HHH. Rock pulls HHH to
the corner to set him up for Rikishi. Rikishi hits the Bonzai Drop. Too
Cool comes out of nowhere and dances to the delight of millions. Are they
trying to elevate Rikishi or not? STILL NO CLEAN FINISH!
Winner: Rikishi via DQ

Shane and Big Show are shown backstage. Shane says they have to go console
HHH. Big Show says convince.
Matt Hardy w/Jeff vs. Steve Blackman w/Al Snow
Snow is seen talking to Josh the stage manager about Blackman's entrance.
Snow wants streamers and midgets with plates full of cheese. Blackman walks
in and says if he sees anything, it's Josh's ass. Steve Blackman starts
with some wierd moves. Don't even know what to call them. Blackman
counters a DDT, but gets caught in a hangman's kneckbreaker and a leg drop
from middle rope. Blackman retreats outside and Matt hits a flying
crossbody. Matt gets his face planted on the steps from the apron. Back in
the ring, Blackman hits a tilt-a-whirl face slam. Blackman goes for a
headbutt, but misses. Matt hits a side russian leg sweep and goes for the
twist of fate Blackman hits a german suplex. Snow gets up on the apron,
but Jeff pulls him down. Blackman hits a chop kick from the top rope and
gets the 3 count. Blackman is starting to spark an intrest in fans. He got
a decent pop and your seeing signs for him now.0
Winner: Steve Blackman via Top Rope Scissors Kick (HEY,HEY a clean
win)
Shane and Big Show are shown in HHH's lockerroom. Shane sets up Benoit vs.
Rock in a steel cage. Steph says that's fine, but shane is to stay out of
their business for the rest of the night.
Commercial
Edge/Christian vs. Perry Saturn/Dean Malenko w/Eddie Guererro
Terris makes her way ringside and sits with Lawler and Ross. Edge and
Saturn start. Saturn goes for a victory roll, but gets face planted (seems
to be the move of the night). Christian then gets in and he gets a face
plant. Edge gets chop blocked by Saturn and goes down hard. Saturn hits a
T-Bone suplex. Saturn works some more on the knee. Edge gets chop blocked
again. Saturn puts more pressure on the knee. Malenko tagged in and goes
to work on Edge's knee. Edge gets up and hits an enziguri. Both guys make
the tag. Terri leaves the announce position and goes over to Edge. Edge
gets knocked into Terri and Terri goes down hurt. Edge attends to her while
Guererro distracts the ref. Malenko and Saturn double team Christian and
pick up the victory. Post match Edge and Christian fight with each other
again.
Winners: Saturn/Malenko via Double Team Drop Kick
Earlier today....The Posse shown trying to take Crash's title again.
Hardcore Title Match
Crash Holly vs. Viscera
Crash starts with a chair to Vis that has no effect. They go outside. Vis
uses the stair then throws Crash over the guardrail. Backstage Vis uses a
mop, a broom, a dust pan, ring mats, a door, pizza and soda. They go into a
cafeteria and end up in front of the aPa. Farooq uses a 2x4 on Vis and
Crash picks up the pinfall. After the match, Bradshaw lays out Crash. They
messed up the Acolytes card game.
Winner and Still champion: Crash Holly via 2x4
Commercial
Earlier Tonight....Mae Young is thrown through a table by the Dudleys
Michael Cole interviews The Rock. Finally...Springfield. The Rock says he
has nothing to hide even though, HHH, Steph, Show and Shane do. The only
thing the Rock has to hide is his boot straight up Chris Benoit's candy ass.
FYI, The Rock referred to himself as "The Rock" only 16 times.
Henry is back from the hospital and he goes into a lockerroom that turns out
to be the Dudley's and gets the crap kicked out of him.
Commercial
Over the Tope Steel Cage Match
Rock vs. Chris Benoit
Benoit sends the Radicals backstage. The cage looks VERY dangerous. It's
not constructed very well and I'd hate to be in there. The match is 99%
brawling. Rock tries to go out, but is stopped. Snap suplex by Benoit and
he tries to go out, but Rock stops him. More brawling and Shane and Big
Show come down.. Benoit is backdropped into the cage. Rock tries to get
out and is crotched. HHH and Steph come down. Rock almost fell THROUGH the
cage. I told you it was construced poorly. Big suplex by Benoit. A Big
Show sucks chant starts. Both men on the top rope. Benoit gets crotched.
Rock gets knocked down and Benoit chops him into the ropes. Rock gets tied
up and Benoit gets a few shots in before going to the outside. Rock gets
out and press slams Benoit off the top rope. Benoit thrown into the cage a
couple times then the Rock gets thrown into the cage. Benoit hits a
headbutt off the top rope. Benoit goes to the cage, but Rock hits a
spinebuster. Benoit hits a rolling german suplex, but gets caught in the
Rock Bottom on the third one. Both men go to the top rope. Benoit gets his
head smashed into the steel. Chris Benoit gets knocked off the top rope
leaving Rock by himself. HHH climbs from the outside to cut Rock off. HHH
gets thrown from the cage right onto Big Show allowing Rock to climb down
and win.
Winner: Rock
Post match, Rock is dragged back inside the cage. Big Show hold on as HHH
beats on the Rock. HHH gets a chair and "accidently" hits Big Show. Shane
goes over the top of the cage and HHH retreats. End of show.
LAST WORD: Decent show as far as setting up storylines and continuing
stories. The Big Show/HHH match is getting more and more complex and a lot
of the undercard is putting on great matches. Too many DQ's though. Those
really hurt this show.
