WWF Smackdown! starts off with footage from this past Monday night when Triple H defeated The Big Show for the WWF Championship belt! Surprisingly enough, Triple H defeated The Big Show with little to no help from Degeneration X. There was just a minor distraction from dX to the referee at the end of the match so Triple H can give The Big Show a low blow and then the Pedigree to win the WWF Championship.

Stephanie is shown with Degeneration X, and she says that last Monday night was a very proud moment in the history of the WWF when Triple H became the Champion. Stephanie says it wasn't incredibly proud for all of dX, now was it? Stephanie says the three of them couldn't beat The Rock and get him fired. Stephanie says dX is all about perfection, and certainly they can all strive to do better. Stephanie says that she is taking care of Mick Foley, and if Mick trespasses tonight, he will be arrested. Stephanie hasn't figured out what she is going to do for The Road Dogg, yet. Stephanie says that X-Pac will be taking on The Big Show tonight! X-Pac gets mad, and Triple H says that X-Pac is as good as he, himself is, and he tells X-Pac to go out and beat The Big Show's ass.

Stephanie tells Billy Gunn that he will have the chance to soften both of the Acolytes up tonight as he takes them on in a Handicap match. He gets angry and Triple H tells them to relax. Triple H asks them if they think they are the only ones to go in the ring and sacrifice. Stephanie says that never before has a WWF Champion entered himself into a random drawing. It could even be one of dX facing Triple H, tonight. Triple H says that anyone in the WWF will get a shot, and Stephanie says that she is proud of Hunter. Hunter says he is proud to be a member of dX and to be a part of the McMahon/Helmsley Era.

The Big Show vs. X-Pac
The Big Show's music is playing, and he is on his way to the ring set for a match against X-Pac. The Big Show lost the WWF Championship to Triple H just three nights ago, and he's gotta be angry going into this contest. The Big Show attacks X-Pac quickly on the outside of the ring to start off the match, and The Big Show presses X-Pac into the ring right over the top rope. The Big Show hammers away on X-Pac and X-Pac's chances aren't good here, tonight. The Big Show stands on top of X-Pac in the corner, and the referee tries to get him off of X-Pac, and The Big Show shoves the referee down. The referee called for the bell and The Big Show didn't like that one bit, so he choke slammed the referee. X-Pac got a steel chair and hit The Big Show from behind, but it didn't effect The Big Show one bit! The Big Show punches the chair right into the face of X-Pac. A ton of WWF officials come to the ring to try to stop The Big Show from beating on X-Pac! X-Pac will get the disqualification win in this contest.

Chris Jericho is backstage with Chyna, and he is telling her that he doesn't want to be her partner, tonight. They are going to be going against the Hollys next on Smackdown! As Chris and Chyna argue, the WWF Women's Champion, The Kat is standing right there watching on. As we found out this past Monday night on RAW, Chris Jericho and Chyna, both are the WWF Intercontinental Champion. This doesn't make Chris Jericho or his fans happy one bit.

Chris Jericho and Chyna vs. The Hardcore Hollys
Outside of the arena is shown, and an officer is standing there waiting incase Mankind tries to come to the arena. Chris Jericho, Chyna and The Kat are shown walking backstage, and Chris is wearing the Intercontinental Championship tonight. Chris continues to argue with Chyna by saying that he doesn't want any part of this tag team match against the Hollys. The Hollys are on their way to the ring and they are going against Chyna and Jericho in this tag team contest. Chyna and Chris Jericho don't come out together, because it's obvious that the two hate each other. When Chris gets in the ring, he argues with Chyna and while they were making their way to the ring, Chris told Chyna to stand on the apron and look pretty, because he would do all the work.
Hardcore Holly attacks Chris Jericho to start off the contest and Chris Jericho fires back with a flying forearm. Crash Holly goes for a hurricanrana but Chris stops it half way and gets the Walls of Jericho on for a second when Hardcore Holly gets in the ring and breaks it up. Chris Jericho needed a tag to Chyna, but she turned her back to Jericho. The Hollys use team work on Chris Jericho and they knock him to the outside of the ring and Chyna goes over to help Jericho. Jericho shoved her away as if he didn't want her help and then she gave him a clothesline and put him back in the ring so he can get beat on by the Hollys. Hardcore Holly finished off Chris Jericho and pinned him for the win. Chyna grabbed the WWF Intercontinental Championship and left with The Kat.

Universal Studios in Florida is shown and Mideon, dressed up as Mankind is talking to some fans and he tells them to have a bad day. Stephanie and Triple H are shown and Stephanie questions as to why Mick Foley is in Orlando. Someone knocks on the door and Triple H gets up and leaves as Tori enters the room. Tori says she hates to bother Stephanie, but it's a little embarrassing. Tori says all of the bathroom seem occupied, and she asks Stephanie for a bathroom. Stephanie shows her to the bathroom. The Acolytes are shown walking backstage, and they are heading towards the arena as they are going against Billy Gunn in a Handicap Match, next!

The Road Dogg is with Stephanie, and he asks her what he will be doing tonight. Stephanie tells The Road Dogg that it's Hunter's decision. Stephanie says she thinks that Hunter is changing, so The Road Dogg goes over to the bathroom and opens the door to find Hunter, but it's Tori in there. She screams and then the Road Dogg gets mad at Stephanie for not telling him that Tori was in there, and not Hunter.

Handicap Match
Billy Gunn vs. the Acolytes
The Acolytes are headed to the ring, and they are going against Billy Gunn in a Handicap Match. Billy Gunn comes to the ring and the match is on as Billy Gunn does his best to fight off both of the Acolytes. The Acolytes beat the hell out of Billy Gunn and Bradshaw gives Billy the clothesline from hell and then Faarooq picks Billy up so they can give him a double team move. Faarooq backdrops Billy as Bradshaw gives Billy a neck breaker, at the same time. While the match is going on, The Road Dogg comes to the ring and attacks Bradshaw and then works on Faarooq as Bradshaw beats up on Billy Gunn on the outside of the ring. The Acolytes get the better of the New Age Outlaws, and we are getting a preview of the Royal Rumble!

Kane is shown in the room with Triple H and Stephanie. Triple H says that it's going to be one hell of a night at the Royal Rumble. Kane goes nuts and says that he wants a match with The Road Dogg. Kane refers to The Road Dogg as a pervert. The cops are shown again on the outside of the arena, and if Mick Foley shows up tonight, he will be arrested!

The Road Dogg is backstage with Triple H and Stephanie, and Triple H says if Billy interferes in The Road Dogg's match tonight, he is going to have to let him go. The Road Dogg questions the match he will be in and Triple H informs him that he will be going against Kane. The Road Dogg accuses Stephanie of telling Kane something, and Triple H questions her as she says she doesn't have any clue.

Kane vs. The Road Dogg
Kane's music is playing in the arena, and he's making his way to the ring along with Tori. Kane is going against The Road Dogg in this singles match up. The Road Dogg does his spiel as he makes his way to the ring, and Kane gets out of the ring and attacks The Road Dogg and brings him to the ringside area in a not so nice fashion. Kane beats up on The Road Dogg on the outside of the ring for a couple of minutes and then puts him in the ring to officially start the match. Kane dominates most of the match and Kane gives The Road Dogg a big boot and then gives The Road Dogg the clothesline from the top rope. X-Pac comes out and Kane goes right after him and The Road Dogg attacks Kane from behind with a low blow and then gives The Big Red Machine a low blow on the ramp. The Road Dogg knocks Kane down and then goes for the shake rattle and knee drop, but Kane sits up and then gets up and choke slams The Road Dogg. Kane signals for the tombstone piledriver and he puts it on him for the win.

The Rock is seen backstage, and he is in his wrestling trunks waiting for a match. Stephanie and Triple H are shown and Stephanie asks Triple H who The Rock is facing tonight, and Triple H says that he will be going against Kurt Angle. The fake Mankind is shown and he is talking about everything that he has done in the WWF. He says that there isn't anything that he is scared of. A shark comes out of the water, because they are on a boat ride and he gets terribly scared.

The Rock vs. Kurt Angle
The Rock's music is playing, and he is on his way to the ring ready to take on the undefeated Kurt Angle in a one on one match! The fans go absolutely nuts for The Rock as he awaits Kurt Angle. The Rock gets on the mic and does his "Finally, The Rock has come back to...". The Rock says that Triple H threw everyone at The Rock on Monday, and he calls them the roody poo crew. The Rock says like the Great One that The Rock is, he came out on top, one, two, three! The Rock says thus declaring him, thus this declaring the millennium of The Rock. That declared The Rock, the people's champion. The Rock says, do you see it? The Rock says, do you taste it? The Rock says, do you smell it? If ya smellalala, what The Rock is cooking! Kurt Angle's music comes on, and he comes out to a ton of boos. Kurt Angle has a mic in hand, and he says he stands before the fans tonight as an Olympic Champion, an American Hero, a representative of this great Nation. A man who has gone and done battle in the Olympic games and came out a winner. Not to mention that he is still undefeated in the WWF.
Kurt says as you know, he is a man of intensity, integrity and intelligence. Kurt says he feels that he should be the people's champion. The fans boo that heavily, and Kurt says they prefer that smooth talking smart alec as the people's champion? Kurt says to give him a break and he gets in the ring and he has The Rock all fired up. The Rock gets on the mic and says that Kurt comes down here and runs his mouth and he did something that he never should have done, and that is annoy The Rock. The Rock says that Kurt is no doubt a true American Hero. The Rock says upon realizing this, he couldn't help but notice all of Kurt's gold medals. The Rock says, tonight, in Orlando, The Rock would like Kurt to do something very special with those medals. Something that he probably has never done with medals. The Rock says he wants Kurt to take an All American cloth, some all American wax, and The Rock wants Kurt to shine those medals up real nice. Shine em up real good, because he's very special. The Rock says when you're done shinning. Put the medals down, to 13 jumping jacks, 27 sit ups, some squats. Take those medals, turn those sum bitches sideways and stick them straight up his Olympic Ass! Kurt Angle tries to attack The Rock to start off the match but The Rock catches him and rams him into the turnbuckle.

Kurt Angle gets out of the ring and walks up the stage and The Rock goes right after him and beats up on him on the stage. The Rock tries to give Kurt a suplex, but he reversed it into a suplex of his own. The two get back in the ring and fight back and forth and Kurt Angle almost pulled off a huge upset after a tremendous belly to belly suplex. As Kurt beats up on The Rock, the fans get really loud and chant "Asshole, asshole!" Also, for a second there, the fans start chanting "Roody Poo, Roody Poo", and you can hear it clearly. Steve Blackman makes his way to the ring with the Kendo stick in hand, and The Rock knocks him down and Steve gets back up and The Rock pulls him into the ring and The Rock hits Steve with the kendo stick. The Rock then hits Kurt Angle with the kendo stick, getting himself disqualified. The Rock gives Kurt Angle the Rock Bottom and then leaves the ring. After the match, Kurt Angle celebrates as if he won some gold again. The Rock wasn't too pleased that Angle was celebrating like that, so The Rock got back in the ring and gave Kurt the spine buster followed by the people's elbow!

Stephanie and Triple H are shown, and Stephanie is rather happy that Kurt Angle is undefeated. Triple H says damn. A tumbler is shown and names are rolling through it in little balls. The outside of the arena is shown for a second, and police are waiting, just incase Mick Foley comes to the arena.

Six Man Tag Team Match
Edge, Christian and Jeff Hardy vs. Al Snow, and the Dudley Boyz
Edge and Christian's music is playing and they are on their way to the ring. They are set for a six man tag team match with Jeff Hardy. Jeff Hardy is accompanied by his brother Matt and Terri. Matt Hardy has bandaged fingers, and his fingers were injured during the cage match with Al Snow against Jeff Hardy. Edge, Christian and Jeff are going against Al Snow and the Dudley Boyz. The Dudley Boyz are shown walking backstage before the match, and they don't seem too happy that they are teaming up with Al Snow tonight. Al Snow is a raging lunatic during this match, and he and the Dudley Boyz really put a hurting on Jeff Hardy. Al Snow got on the outside of the ring and he had his eyes set on Terri when Jeff Hardy jumped over the top rope onto Al to stop him from stalking her. Edge gives Devon Dudley a spear while Christian plants Buh Buh with a reverse DDT. Edge gives Devon Dudley the Downward Spiral to win the match for his team. After the match, Al Snow gets in the ring and smacks both of the Dudley Boyz across the head, with Head.

The Theme Park in Orlando, Florida is shown again and the Fake Mankind is there, and he is making a mockery of Mankind. He wants to get on a ride, and the guy there tells him that the park is closed. Mankind explains who he is, and he says he can't change the rules for anyone. Mankind tries to bribe the guy and the guy calls for help, and looks up. Mankind escapes and gets in the park as the guy says that Mankind is loose in the park. The cops are shown outside of the arena and they are standing guard, incase the real Mankind shows up.

Non Title Match
Test vs. The Big Bossman (c)
Test's music is playing and he is on his way to the ring with the protective gear on his face for his nose. Test is going against The Big Bossman in this contest. This is a non title match as the Bossman is the WWF Hardcore Champion. Just something to throw out there, why don't they toss the Hardcore belt? They haven't had a match for that title in the longest time. The Big Bossman takes off the protective nose gear from Test as Prince Albert makes his way to the ringside area. Prince Albert pulls Test out of the ring behind the referee's back and beats up on Test. The referee saw him for a second and told Prince Albert to get in the corner of the Bossman and to stop beating on him. The Big Bossman gets on the outside of the ring and picks up on Test where Prince Albert left off. Test gives the Bossman a powerslam and then Prince Albert gets on the apron only to be knocked down by Test. Prince Albert gets in the ring and gives the Bossman the bicycle kick inadvertently and Test covered the Bossman for the win! After the match, the Bossman and Prince Albert argue in the ring.

Winner - Test
Triple H and Stephanie are shown and Triple H says that was an upset seeing Test over the Bossman. Stephanie tells Triple H that she hopes that Triple H doesn't get upset tonight. Triple H says that no one is going to beat him tonight, because he is that damn good. The tumbler is shown again, and just who will it be to go against Triple H for the belt? The fake Mankind is shown again and he is running from the guy that he made mad earlier on. Mankind comes across Back to the Future the ride and he says he'll set the time back to the day that he won the title. Mankind says he'll set the date way back to 1982, the last time that his wife let him have sex with her!

Taka and Funaki vs. the Mean Street Posse
The Mean Street Posse's music is playing and they are on their way to the ring set for a Handicap Tag Team Match. As they are making their way to the ring, Stephanie and Triple H are shown, and Stephanie asks what is with the Posse going to the ring? Triple H says that he would award them and give them possibly a win tonight. They are going against Funaki and Taka Michinoku. The two teams battle back and forth and the Posse do everything they can to cheat against Funaki and Taka. Rodney back body drops Funaki into a powerbomb by Joey Abs and Joey went to pin him when Pete demanded that he be tagged in. Pete did a move called The Gas Mask to Funaki but Funaki kicks out. Rodney does a move called the High Society, but is unable to get the win. Taka and Funaki get the win over Rodney after a double team.

Stephanie and Triple H are shown Triple H says they gave them a chance, and they blew it. Stephanie and Triple H get up and leave the room, because they are going to find out who Triple H will be going against tonight with the WWF belt on the line.

The WWF locker room is shown and all of the wrestlers are chatting with each other. Stephanie shows up and Stephanie demands the attention of the wrestlers. Stephanie says this concerns each and every one of the wrestlers, because tonight, one of them will have the chance to face the WWF Champion. Stephanie says that never before in the history of the WWF has there been a champion with such honor and dignity to defend the title in a random drawing against one of them. Triple H will defend against all comers, and he is a champion with spirt and pride. Stephanie introduces Triple H into the room and you can tell that dX is well behind him, because they are the only ones to cheer him on. Triple H says he looks at this as an opportunity to be a leader for all of them and it could be any one of them in the room that could take his place and become the WWF Champion when he retires.

Triple H says he wants that person to take notice as to what they are about to do. Triple H says never before in the history has a champion ever had a random drawing to decide his opponent. Stephanie spins the tumbler around and pulls out a name and it's Andre the Giant? Triple H tells her to pick another one, and he says that if Andre were here, he'd kick his ass, as well! Stephanie draws another one and she drops it on the floor and Triple H picks it up and reads it and it's Moolah! Triple H says that with all due respect to Moolah, he is going to draw another one. Triple H says if she got in the ring with him, it would be one for the ages, so to speak. Triple H says he is going to have someone that doesn't have anything to do with this draw the name. It's Howard Finkel, and he walks over and knocks the tumbler over accidentally. Triple H says damnit Howard, your balls fell out all over the place. Howard opens a ball and it's Rikishi Phatu! Triple H checks the paper and doesn't seem happy that he'll be going against Rikishi tonight!

The fake Mankind is shown again and he says he feels sick. The real Mankind shows up and asks the fake Mankind if he was talking about his family and wife. Mankind beats up on the fake Mankind and it looks like he is really pissed off! Mankind slams a door over the head and back of the fake Mankind a number of times and he says that he isn't through as he continues to beat up on him. Mick tells the fake Mankind to have a nice day after he leaves him lying helplessly on the ground.

World Wrestling Federation Championship Match
Rikishi Phatu vs. Hunter Hearst Helmsley (c)

Too Cool's music is playing and they are on their way to the ring along with Rikishi Phatu! As they make their way to the ring, Rikishi tells Too Cool to go back to the backstage area for this match. It's obvious that if Rikishi is going to win the belt tonight, he wants to do it cleanly! Stephanie accompanies Triple H to the ring and she joins the commentators for commentary as the match begins. Triple H quickly goes to work on Rikishi and hammers away with the right hands. Stephanie gets concerned as Rikishi squashes Triple H. Degeneration X is shown looking on from their locker room, and it doesn't look like they will be coming to the ring as they eat food while watching. The two furiously battle back and forth and Rikishi comes extremely close to winning the WWF belt after a samoan drop. Rikishi gives Hunter a belly to belly and then signals for the banzai drop and he does it as Stephanie says no. Triple H kicked out of it, somehow and the match is still going on! Rikishi goes for the sit down piledriver but Triple H kicks out of it and goes to give Rikishi the Pedigree but Rikishi is able to get out of it before he can get it on. Stephanie gets up and gives Triple H a chair and Stephanie gets on the apron and distracts the referee as Triple H hits Rikishi. Triple H pins Rikishi for a two count and Triple H is livid! Stephanie gives Triple H the WWF belt and hits Rikishi with it in the face and the referee calls for the bell giving Rikishi a disqualification win. Rikishi gets up to his feet once again and Triple H gets the chair again and beats the hell out of Rikishi as WWF officials get in the ring and do their best to make sure Triple H won't continue. Rikishi gets up to his feet yet again and Triple H bails out of the ring. Degeneration X is shown in the backstage are and they make a few small comments about the match.
