WCW Thunder Report

WCW THUNDER
TAPED IN: FLORENCE, SOUTH CAROLINA

Opening
A battered and beaten Arn Anderson was dragged in the building by the NWO.

Madusa (c) w/Spice versus Aysa *Cruiserweight Title*
Madusa retained title with a German suplex after Saturn clotheslined Aysa from behind. As Malenko and Douglas argued with Saturn, the Filthy Animals cleared the ring. On the outside Madusa was nailed with a bottle of barbecue sauce by Oklahoma. The two are now wrestling at Souled Out.
Winner: Madusa via pinfall

--Juventud Guerrera and Psychosis forced Tony Schiavone out of his broadcast seat. This brought out commissioner Funk who attacked both, powerbombing Psychosis through the broadcast position. He then ordered the NWO to bring Arn Anderson back. Jeff Jarrett said that the NWO would be out in an hour with some demands. After seeing AA beaten more by the NWO, Terry Funk and David Flair (who was visibly upset by seeing his godfather beaten) choked Jarrett with a crowbar while he was handcuffed. Funk demanded an exchange, Jarrett for Anderson. This did happen, but not before Nash demanded a match against Funk at Souled Out. If Nash wins, he becomes the commissioner, and if Funk wins, the NWO disbands. Funk then challenged Hart to a hard-core match for the world title.

--The Revolution challenged the Filthy Animals to a six man match at Souled Out, with the Revolution having a mystery partner. They also vowed that Jim Duggan would renounce his citizenship.

--Stevie Ray told Booker T to set up a match with Midnight. Booker said he would do so, only on the condition that if she wins, they become a triple threat. Ray agreed, but said if he wins, they go on their own.

PG-13/Chavo Guerrero Jr. versus Three Count
Three Count took the victory after Shane hit Chavo Jr. with one of the green dancing circles, allowing Shane to make the cover.
Winners: Three Count via pinfall

The Wall versus Jerry Flynn
Tank Abbott knocked out Flynn, allowing the Wall to make the cover. After the bell, Abbott attacked the Wall and once again knocked out Doug Dellinger.
Winner: The Wall via pinfall

Jeff Jarrett (c) versus Norman Smiley (c) *United States Championship*
Jarrett won this hard-core match after nailing the Screamin' One with a guitar shot, followed by the "Stroke."
Winner: Jeff Jarrett via pinfall

--Tony Marinera sent Disco Inferno into a store to retrieve some protection money from a man that owed to the "family." A softhearted Disco could not threaten the man, but instead, traded his Rolex for the money that was owed. He then went outside and told the thugs that he slapped the man around.

Stevie Ray versus Midnight
Midnight played possum and defeated Ray with a surprise rollup for the win. After the bell, he, Midnight and Booker T embraced. However, when they turned their back, Ray nailed both with the slapjack, followed by putting the boots to his brother.
Winner: Midnight via pinfall

--Mene Gene began interviewing the Filthy Animals. Juvi interrupted, with a beauty on his arm, saying she wanted "Mene Gene". Gene left with her. The Animals told Juvi that the new tag champs would lose their straps tonight.

--After telling his new girl that they would take care of business in the hotel later, interviewed DDP who said that Buff Bagwell did hit on his wife and that women AND men liked Buff. After making some disparaging remarks about Buff's manhood, a nasty fight ensued between the two that had to be broken up by security.

--The Artist still does not want to perform.

Bam Bam Bigelow versus Kevin Nash
The NWO had to drag Bigelow to the ring, who had been put down by a champagne bottle shot by Chris Kanyon. From there, Nash wore Bigelow out with a bat, while the NWO watched.
Winner: Kevin Nash via countout

David Flair/Crowbar (c) w/Daphne versus Kidman/Konnan
The champs retained their belts after Arn Anderson put Konnan down with a crowbar shot, allowing Flair to make the pin. After the bell, the Revolution attacked the Filthy Animals.
Winner: David Flair/Crowbar via pinfall

Bret Hart (c) versus Terry Funk *World Championship*
This hard-core match came to an end when the Hitman knocked down referee Charles Robinson. Arn Anderson was preparing to finish refereeing the match, but was stopped by David Flair, who put on the stripes and locked Anderson in a room. The NWO then attacked Flair, while Nash powerbombed Funk from the stage to a table below.
Winner: Terry Funk via disqualification
