WCW Thunder - Wednesday, January 12, 2000
Host: Mike Tenay, Tony Shiavone and Scott Hudson

Thunder opens with clips from this past week’s Nitro of Terry Funk introducing his Old Age Outlaws. Terry Funk, Larry Zybsco, Arn Anderson, Paul Orndorff.

Following that, we’re shown clips from Earlier Today, of the nWo making their way into the arena, minus Bret Hart. Following that, Bret is shown walking in alone.

First match is announced as Vampiro comes out to a moderate pop, to face Crowbar, who makes his way out lead by David Flair.

Vampiro Vs. Crowbar

*Missed a bit of the beginning of the match, however Crowbar was dominating the opening minutes*.
Crowbar, executes a guillontine leg drop into a pinning combination for two. Vampiro escapes and gets to the top ropes, Daphne jumps up on the ropes to distract the ref, as Flair nails Vampiro with the crowbar. Crowbar climbs the ropes with Vampiro, and attempts a frankenstiener, but Vampiro counters with a seated powerbomb, into a pin, for the win.

Winner: Crowbar

After the match, Daphane and David pummeled Vampiro until Arn Anderson came down to try and make the save, but had no effect on the crazy Flair, who walked out with Daphne, leaving Crowbar in the ring unconscious. Tenay and Shiavone build up the rest of tonight’s card, which included a evening gown match with Oklahoma Vs. Madusa in an evening gown match. Among out matches. Let’s hope Oklahoma wins this match. While running down tonight’s card, multiple clips from Nitro were shown. Commercial.

Back from break, as the nWo music hits which changes to Hart’s. Hudson points out that Hart is wearing a Calgary Hitmen shirt, and not the usual nWo shirt. Bret states that the fans every right to boo him and throw stuff at him. He says he is making himself sick as his actions, and that he has let people down, the fans, his friends, etc. Says that he is disgusted with what has been happening, and that listening to Funk last week, got him thinking and Funk’s words finally sunk in. Bret Hart states that he is sorry for taking short cuts, and that the nWo is a bunch of bums that are only out for shortcuts. Bret says that he is going to change, he will not be apart of the nWo, and that the pink and black attack is back. Jarrett, Stiener, Nash and Hall can stick the nWo were the sun don’t shine, states Hart. Right on Que., the nWo music starts up as trio of the nWo make their way out. Nash states that Bret is too stupid for his own good, just like in "New York" (WWF). Nash says that the fans do not want heroes. He states that with the nWo, Bret could’ve been a "God". Nash says that the Canadian Hero bullsh*t is dead, and that short cuts and sticking with each other is the way to go. Nash says to come back to the nWo since they are the only ones to care about him. Hart replies by stating that Nash is a big old piece of ****. Bret states that as far as the rest of the nWo is concerned, they can do it the easy way, or the hard way. And that they can come on down to the ring right now. Nash says that the nWo will lay off Bret, and give him a chance to leave. Bret states he isn’t going anywhere and the nWo can come get him. Nash says that, that’s fine and that the nWo will be ending Bret’s career tonight. The nWo music starts back up, as the trio nWo leave the ramp, and leave Bret Hart in the ring alone. Commercial.

As we come back from the break, we see Bret Hart sitting in his locker room clutching a baseball bat. We then see the Old Age Outlaws, speaking to one another about the nWo. Tenay and Shiavone then set up some multiple clips from Nitro, of Knobbs and Finlay, and Meng and Norman Smiley.

Hardcore Title -Norman Smiley Vs. Brian Knobbs

We are then taken to a exit where Norman is being forced outside. Norman is freaking out because it’s 15 degrees outside. Norman goes outside, and is met by a garbage can to the head from his opponent, Brian Knobbs. Knobbs works Smiley over with multiple shots, and then whips him into the wall, an into a tv truck. Then picks up Smiley and drops him on a table. Norman finally gets the advantage by grabbing a trash can, and begins to drop it on Knobbs. Smiley gives Knobbs a few shots to the head, but soon runs away when Knobbs stands up. Smiley trips over a large pipe, but gains control with a poke to the eye. He then begins hitting Knobbs with a garbage can. Knobbs reverses a punch, into an irish whip into a car. Norman falls over, and Knobbs covers him to become the new Hardcore Champion.

Winner and new Hardcore Champion: Brian Knobbs

Back from commercial and the nWo with ball bats in hand are looking for Bret Hart. Stiener spots him through a door, and the nWo charge the locker room, the camera fades. Back into the arena where the Revolution are making their way out. Douglas gets a mic and states that the Filthy Animals started this war and that the Revolution is going to finish it. He goes on to say that the Filthy Animals will be in trouble this Sunday as they have the secret partner. Douglas states that net reports and hot lines are stating that it’ll be Douglas’ return. Shane states this may be in fact true…or it may not, but one way or another the Revolution is going to win. Saturn gets the mic and states something in his gibberish mode. Then turns to look at Asya, and asks her what she’s staring at. He asks her what the hell is wrong with her and why is she not helping the Revolution. Douglas grabs the mic and says that Asya is on thin ice, and that she better know her role, and play it well. (Why is the word bitch not bleeped out, but ass, and hell are?). The Revolution’s music starts back up as the Revolution make their way out of the ring, with a disgruntled Asya left in the ring. We are then shown Scott Stiener, Jeff Jarrett and Kevin Nash carrying Bret Hart by the legs and arms through a hallway backstage. Commercial.

Back from break, and Tank Abott is chatting with Mean Gene. Gene asks a question but Abott never responds as he is jumped and then speared by Jerry Flynn. Question. Which one do you think is worse of an actor?

Madusa Vs. Oklahoma

Ah screw that, because Madusa with Spice are making their way to ringside. A clip of last week’s Thunder of Madusa having BBQ sauce dropped on her was shown. Oklahoma makes his way down in a black evening gown. A hairy fat man in an evening gown wearing a cowboy hat. SCARY?! Standards and practices valet, Skye comes out as she writes something down on a clipboard about Oklahoma. Madusa jumps him, and they begin to wrestle in the aisle. Oklahoma gets the advantage but it is short lived. Madusa rolls into the ring followed by Oklahoma. Oklahoma begins to try and get a bottle that is taped to his leg. Madusa sneaks up on him and strips him of his gown.

Winner: Madusa

After the match Oklahoma finally grabs the bottle and smacks Madusa in the head. He then strips her and pores the bottle all over her. We are then shown the nWo beating Bret Hart up, commercial.

Back from commercial with Gene interviewing Madusa who says she is going to kick Oklahoma’s ass at Souled Out.

Booker T Vs. Midnight Vs. Stevie Ray

We’re then shown the ring where every thing is dark, Midnight is then shown when the lights come up. We then see Booker T walking around backstage, then getting jumped by Stevie Ray who says he is going to beat Booker’s bitch. Stevie comes out, and totally knocks out Midnight, with uppercuts, follwed by laying the boots to her. He then picks her up, and connects with a kick. Booker races down to ringside and makes the save for Midnight. Stevie then gets knocked to the outside, and gets counted out. Midnight and Booker are forced to wrestle on. Boooker connects with two shoulder blocks, but Midnight gets the advantage for a short while, but loses it. Booker T knocks her back down, but refuses to fight or pin Midnight. Booker gets distracted and brought to the outside by Stevie. Stevie slaps him with a slap jack, and then slides him back in. Stevie orders Midnight to pin Booker. Midnight goes down on her knees, but grabs the unconscious Booker by thearm and drapes his arm over her, Booker T wins.

Winner: Booker T

After the match, Midnight gets in to it with Stevie on the ring apron, Stevie goes to pull the slap jack from his tights, but is met with a Midnight drop kick. Midnight turns her back on Stevie, to check on Booker, but is knocked out cold by a slap jack shot from Stevie, from behind. Commercial.

Back from commercial, we are shown Jerry Flynn locked in a police jail cell. Abbott is then put in the same cell, uncuffed, (Real bright police men there). They lock the cell, and Abbott and Flynn go at it, until the police unlock the cell, and then stop the fight. Mean Gene is then shown talking with Chris "Champagne" Kanyon, with his ladies. States that he is facing Bam Bam Bigelow in a Champagne on a pole match tonight, and will definitely win. We are then shown Scott Stiener and Kevin Nash trying to unlock a door. The Old Age Outlaws are shown discussing whether to help Bret Hart or not. Commercial.

Kanyon Vs. Bam Bam Bigelow

Back from commercial and the Old Age Outlaw members, Zybsco and Orndorff are shown walking through a hall way talking about checking out something, even though Funk is reluctant to do so. In the arena, Kanyon makes his way to the ring with his ladies. Supposedly a $1000 dollar bottle of Champagne in the bottle on the pole. Sureeeee…. We’re shown clips of the past few weeks of Nitro and Thunder, showing clips of the Kanyon/Bam Bam feud. Bam Bam makes his way out running to the ring. Slides under the rope and is met by fists, left and right from Kanyon. Irish whip, reversed by Kanyon into an arm stretch. Bam Bam counters, and begins to climb up the pole. Kanyon reverses it into a power bomb for a two count. Kanyon climbing the pole now, but Bigelow stops him and flips him off the rope. Belly to back suplex by Bam Bam. Bam Bam going up now, but is met by a low blow from Kanyon. Kanyon executes a Russian Legsweep from the top rope. Both men down, Kanyon up and leading the attack, but gets knocked out. The ref is distracted in the corner buy the blonde babe, the dark hair female seduces Bigelow, but no such luck as Bigelow catches Kanyon in Greetings from Asbury Park. Kanyon gets on the pole and grabs the bottle from the can. Kanyon is knocked down by Bigelow, who then throws the bottle away, climbs the ropes, hits a flying head butt to the crotch of Kanyon, Greetings from Asbury Park, 1-2-3.

Winner: Bam Bam Bigelow

Sting(Luger) comes down and jumps Bam Bam with the baseball bat. Begins pounding away, until the lights go off, and Seek and Destroy blasts through the arena. The spotlight appears on one of the turnbuckles where a black crow is perched. Luger hightails it to the back with Liz. Orndorff and Zybsco are shown again in the back, near a bunch of exit doors, where the find strands of Bret Hart’s hair lying all over the place. Commercial.

Back from commercial, and a promo clip of the DDP/Buff Bagwell feud over Kimberly is shown. Following that, we are shown an interview from earlier today, of Kimberly and Mean Gene. Gene states that Kim has gone through some tough things during the past year or so. Kim stated that she has gone through a lot and wished some of it didn’t happen. Gene asked about the recent problems between her and DDP. She stated that she has been with DDP with 10 years, and there are problems right now, but nothing they can work out. Gene asked her why she was off TV. Kim said that it was DDP’s choice and opinion to keep her off, due to some controversial people backstage. Gene asks if that has anything to do with Buff, Kim really just shrugs it off. Gene asks her a few more questions and Kim beats around the bush so to speak, and states in one of her answers that she is 5’10. (6’1 in heels, remember that guys.) Kim states that the only one that should know the answer of her having an affair with Buff is she had one, should already know the answer. We’re then shown the nWo in the locker room. Jarrett calling Hart names, as Stiener holds down Hart and cuts his hair. Nash is getting taped up around his waist and is told he has a match by Jarrett. Commercial.

NWO: Jarrett/Nash Vs. Sid Chris Benoit

Following the commercial, Benoit and Sid cut a promo in the backstage stating it’s too bad that Hart had his back up turn on him. Sid states that he will be the new WCW champion… come this Sunday. Back into the arena, as the nWo music hits. Jarrett and Nash make their way down. Jarrett has a mic. States that this is slapnutz country. Goes on to say that he won’t beat Benoit once. Twice, but three times in all of the triple threat theater’s matches at this Sunday’s Souled Out. Jarrett is cut off as Sid’s music hits, Sid comes out looking dumb as usual. Chris Benoit then comes out. Sid and Benoit jump in right away, and all four men start off. Sid and Benoit send the nWo team to the floor. Sid brings Jarrett back in, and Benoit works Nash on the outside. Sid goes for 10 punches in the corner, followed by a whip into a clothesline. Nash sneaks in and clobbers Sid from behind. Jarrett goes to the outside to get a piece of Benoit. Jarrett and Benoit make their way back up the aisle fighting to the stage, as the big men, Sid and Nash slug it out in the ring. Benoit and Jarrett near the side of the stage, but then begin to slowly head back to the ring. Back in the ring, Nash connects with a big boot. Benoit jumps in and hits Nash. Jarrett in and clobbers Benoit. Nash and Sid go out to their appropriate aprons, while Benoit and Jarrett go at it in the ring. Jarrett on the attack with a suplex in to a pin for two. Benoit back up with a sleeper on Jarrett, Jarrett counters with a jaw breaker. Benoit and Jarrett slow to their feet. Jarrett whips Benoit, but misses a drop kick. Benoit whips Jarrett into the turnbuckle and follows in with a clothe line. Whip into the ropes, followed by a back body drop. Jarrett on his feet, Benoit slaps on the cross face. Nash breaks it up. Sid in the ring now and beating on Nash while Benoit and Jarrett go at it. Jarrett disposes of Benoit to the outside. Sid going for a power omb, but Jarrett stops it. Whip into rope, reverse double clothesline by Sid. Benoit and Jarrett in the ring now, as Sid and Nash go at it on the outside. Benoit climbing to the top rope for the head butt, but is stopped by Nash who pushes him off. Nash slides in the US championship belt. Jarrett goes for the stroke on the belt for the win.

Twice, but three times in all of the triple threat theater’s matches at this Sunday’s Souled Out. Jarrett is cut off as Sid’s music hits, Sid comes out looking dumb as usual. Chris Benoit then comes out. Sid and Benoit jump in right away, and all four men start off. Sid and Benoit send the nWo team to the floor. Sid brings Jarrett back in, and Benoit works Nash on the outside. Sid goes for 10 punches in the corner, followed by a whip into a clothesline. Nash sneaks in and clobbers Sid from behind. Jarrett goes to the outside to get a piece of Benoit. Jarrett and Benoit make their way back up the aisle fighting to the stage, as the big men, Sid and Nash slug it out in the ring. Benoit and Jarrett near the side of the stage, but then begin to slowly head back to the ring. Back in the ring, Nash connects with a big boot. Benoit jumps in and hits Nash. Jarrett in and clobbers Benoit. Nash and Sid go out to their appropriate aprons, while Benoit and Jarrett go at it in the ring. Jarrett on the attack with a suplex in to a pin for two. Benoit back up with a sleeper on Jarrett, Jarrett counters with a jaw breaker. Benoit and Jarrett slow to their feet. Jarrett whips Benoit, but misses a drop kick. Benoit whips Jarrett into the turnbuckle and follows in with a clothe line. Whip into the ropes, followed by a back body drop. Jarrett on his feet, Benoit slaps on the cross face. Nash breaks it up. Sid in the ring now and beating on Nash while Benoit and Jarrett go at it. Jarrett disposes of Benoit to the outside. Sid going for a power omb, but Jarrett stops it. Whip into rope, reverse double clothesline by Sid. Benoit and Jarrett in the ring now, as Sid and Nash go at it on the outside. Benoit climbing to the top rope for the head butt, but is stopped by Nash who pushes him off. Nash slides in the US championship belt. Jarrett goes for the stroke on the belt for the win.

Following the match, we’re shown a shot of the nWo locker room where Stiener is lying unconscious under a table. Commercial.

Returning to Thunder, we see Jarrett and Nash returning to their locker room, seeing Stiener lying under a table. Jarrett/Nash lift the table off of him, and then head back out to look for Hart. Bret Hart is then shown in the parking lot, limping away to his car, he all of a sudden yells out "I ain’t going out like this!" Hart grabs a lead pipe and then is shown walking back into the backstage area. Hart then makes his way to the entrance way and out to the ring. Bret’s eyes are outlined by dark purple "bruises". He grabs a mic and states he isn’t going out like this, and that the nWo can come out here if they want him. The Jarrett/Nash come into the ring with bats in hand, and try to corner Hart. Hart holds them off with his own bat. Terry Funk and Anderson are then showing walking through the backstage area to the ring with a flaming branding iron in Funk’s hand, and a bucket of Water in Anderson’s hand. Funk clears the ring of the nWo, leaving him Arn and Bret. Terry tells Hart to leave the ring since him and Arn can handle the nWo. Arn throws the water at Hart. The dark purple outlines begin to wash off as it was make up. The nWo jump in and go after Funk and Arn. Hart hits Anderson with the lead pipe. The Old Age Outlaws run out to make the save, but are all beaten down by the nWo. Nash grabs the branding iron, and tries to burn Funk, but is low blowed. The show fades out as Funk and Nash fight over the Branding Iron.
